Blog · SewerSewer camera inspection and repair in Miami
Miami-Dade sewer laterals fail from roots, offsets and age. Guessing at a backup with a backhoe is expensive. A camera pass is the first honest step, and you watch the screen with us.
Step 1: find the problem with a camera
We run the camera through the line from a cleanout. Roots, breaks, offsets and collapsed pipe show up on the screen, and we mark the spot in the yard where the bad joint is. If the camera shows a clog rather than damage, the fix may just be a cleaning, and we will say so.
Step 2: dig up and repair the damaged section
When the camera condemns a section, we dig up that section and repair it. Only the affected part of the yard or slab is opened, so the fix matches the problem. You hear the price before the digging starts.
Step 3: cast iron that is done gets replaced
Many older Miami-Dade houses still have cast-iron drain lines, and cast iron rots from the inside. When the camera shows a line that is past repair, we gut the deteriorated cast iron, re-route the line when the layout calls for it, or replace it entirely.
