Effective September 21, 2026. This page explains the cookies and similar storage used on miamidadeplumbingcompany.com. It is part of our Privacy Policy. Florida does not have a separate “cookie statute” for a local contractor. United States practice, and the Federal Trade Commission’s expectation that a business say what it collects, is why this notice exists. We would rather tell you plainly than hide a tracker in the footer.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a site asks your browser to store. Similar technologies include local storage, which stays in the browser until you or the site clears it. Cookies can be session cookies, which disappear when you close the browser, or persistent cookies, which stay for a set time. They can be set by us or by a company whose tool we use, such as Google.
The notice on this site
A note appears at the bottom of the page until you click OK. That click does not sign a contract. It records that you saw the note, so we do not show it on every visit from the same browser. We store that choice in the browser’s local storage under the name mdp_cookie_ok. It is not sent to us as a customer record. Clearing site data for this domain brings the note back.
The host may also set a short-lived technical cookie so a cached copy of a page does not hide an update. That cookie is not used to recognize you across other websites.

Google Analytics is loaded when you open a page. We do not wait for the OK button to start it, because this is a notice, not a European consent wall, and the business is in Florida. The OK button only dismisses the note. If you do not want analytics, use the opt-out below or block cookies in the browser before you browse. Blocking cookies does not stop you from calling us.
The Ask box
The Ask button is a chat widget hosted for us. It can store, in your browser, what is needed to keep the panel open and to show the conversation on that visit. The question you type is sent to that host so it can be answered from our pages. It is not an advertising cookie. Do not type a card number or a password into it. More on that processing is in the Privacy Policy.
What we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use Facebook pixels, TikTok pixels, or retargeting cookies. We do not sell cookie data. We do not allow other companies to follow you from this site onto other sites in order to sell you unrelated products.
Google Analytics
Analytics tells us things like how many people opened the water-heater page and whether they came from a phone. It does not tell us your name. Google’s own policy is at policies.google.com/privacy. You can install Google’s browser opt-out at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. A global privacy control signal in the browser does not change a “sale,” because we do not sell personal information. We still honor a direct request to delete a form message, as the privacy policy describes.
How to limit cookies yourself
- In the browser’s settings, block third-party cookies, or block all cookies for this site. The pages will still load. The cookie note may return each visit if local storage is blocked.
- Use a private window. Storage from that window is dropped when you close it.
- Clear cookies and site data for miamidadeplumbingcompany.com. That removes the analytics cookies and the “note dismissed” flag.
Browser makers document the steps under privacy or site settings. We cannot see whether you blocked a cookie.
Changes
If we add a new kind of cookie, we will update this page and the effective date before we rely on it. We will not add advertising cookies without changing this notice first.
